Nick Owen, a psychotherapist and trainer in human relations, with over 35 years’ experience, will guide you through an inspirational 20 minute exploration of how to connect more deeply with yourself and those around you.
When you learn how to slow down and become centred in your own being you will be surprised and delighted to find how much easier it is to connect in a more meaningful way with other people both at home and at work.
Nick has worked as a consultant for International Management Centres and has taught at Oxford University, the LSE and UCL. He has decided to put the core of all he has learned over a long career into courses on Deeper Mindfulness. He aims to inspire you towards a more fulfilling and enjoyable life. In this short introduction he will introduce you to “The breath of life.” Focus on the breath is as much the royal road to mindfulness as dreams were the royal road to the unconscious for Freud. But here success means becoming more fully awake and aware,
rather than going to sleep.
At the end of a short experiential exercise you will be invited to share your experience with another member of the group. You should be able to take this new understanding with you into the challenges that come your way in the rest of your life.
